The Hollister R-V School District is accepting applicants in the area of a Paraprofessional for the 2022-2023 school year.  Paraprofessionals responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist special education teacher(s) with the care of individual students
  • Assist special education teacher(s) with preparation of instruction/learning resources and implementation of instructional strategies
  • Participate as an effective team member across settings in a manner that promotes positive collaboration for student success
  • Demonstrate respect for students, staff, and parents in all situations
  • Strictly adhere to confidentiality requirements regarding all matters pertaining to district employees, students, parents, parent communications, and/or classroom activities
  • Fulfill the specific responsibilities as related to the specific assignments

Paraprofessionals are required to obtain 60 college credit hours or have passed the ParaPro Assessment (before September 23, 2013) or the Paraprofessional Assessment (September 23, 2013 or after) or completed the 20HR Substitute Certificate Course in order to work under the direct supervision of an appropriately certified teacher to provide instructional assistance.
